Honors continue for Western Pioneer baseball program
Kurt Russell, Western Oklahoma State College's head baseball coach, was named American Baseball Coaches Association, Diamond Sports Company NJCAA Division II National Coach of the Year and the divisions Plains District Regional Coach of the Year. ?Russell was honored today at the ABCA National Convention in Anaheim, Calif., during the Hall of Fame and Coach of the Year Banquet. Russell led the Western Pioneer baseball team to capture the World Series Championship title in Enid in June 2011. ?
