There's no better way to advertise something than to slap it on a buff body, take that person to the beach and get them person to do a few exercises.

And Marc Jacobs obviously knows that.

The designer was spotted relaxing in St Barts with his ex-fiance Lorenzo Martone.

Wearing a pair of tiny Louis Vuitton swimming trunks, the advertising executive took advantage of the scorching weather by doing some stretches as Marc relaxed and read a book.

His green and black trunks matched his and Marc's towels.

The items are part of artist Stephen Sprouse's collection for the French label.

Marc has been creative director for Louis Vuitton since 1997.

The men were joined by stylist to the stars Rachel Zoe, and Jimmy Choo co-founder Tamara Mellon, 44.

Rachel, 40, ventured to the beach without her eight-month-old son Skyler and husband Rodger Berman.

She was spotted chatting away to 48-year-old Jacobs as they reclined on sun loungers on the golden sands.

Despite having had her luggage lost by American Airline, Rachel seems to have bought plenty of news clothes to wear for her holiday.

Meanwhile, Lorenzo's appearance with the designer sparked rumours they are rekindling their romance.

The once rotund Jacobs was again parading his now-toned beach-ready body in a pair of tight trunks.

Last week Lorenzo and Marc were seen getting all broody over Rachel's tot Skyler during one of their beach outings together.

The duo got engaged at the beginning of March 2009.

Marc, meanwhile, has attributed his incredible body transformation to an organic diet and gruelling fitness regime.

In 2007, he told NY Daily News: 'I?m eating a totally organic diet, which has no flour, no sugar, no dairy and no caffeine, and I lost weight because of that diet and because of a two-hour exercise regimen seven days a week.'

Resolutions, shmesolutions. If you really want to get a jump on the new year, there?s nothing like a plunge into icy water to clear the head, focus one?s attention and put things in perspective.

?You?re totally immersed in this intense experience,? said Dennis Thomas, president of the Coney Island Polar Bear Club, a winter-swimming group that sponsors an annual New Year?s Day plunge?in the Long Island beach community.

?It?s not about work or family or money or any of the other stressful things we deal with every day,? he said. ?It takes you somewhere else so simultaneously, it?s a way to leave things behind.?

Like your sanity? Not so, maintains Thomas. ?It used to be a bunch of old weird guys doing it; now we have 150 members and get about 100 swimmers every weekend,? he told msnbc.com. ?We?re not those nuts on the beach anymore.?

For newbies, the New Year?s Day swim offers a good introduction as the water temperature will be in the mid-40s, relatively balmy compared to the 31 or 32 degrees it?ll be later in the winter. According to Thomas, approximately 1,200 swimmers will take the plunge with another 5,000?6,000 less-adventurous spectators cheering them on.

They should be in good, albeit goosebumped, company as similar New Year?s plunges will take place in Boston, Seattle, Toronto and other cities across the U.S. and Canada. Most are free, although many ask participants to gather pledges for charitable causes.

The Coney Island plunge, for example, is one of 11 mid-winter events that are participating in Freezin? for a Reason, a fundraiser for Camp Sunshine, a retreat for children with life-threatening illnesses and their families. Ranging from an ice-choked lake in Virginia to the frigid waters of Maine?s Casco Bay, the events promise to be heartwarming and bone-chilling at the same time.

Then again, if misery truly loves company, it?d be hard to beat the MSP Polar Bear Plunge?in Annapolis, Md., on Jan. 28, when as many as 12,000 hardy souls will take to the waters of Chesapeake Bay. Now in its 16th year, the event has raised more than $400,000 for Special Olympics Maryland.

The event is part of a day-long festival called PlungeFest, which will feature live music, a pee-wee plunge for the kids ? think wading pools, not open water ? and a beer garden for adults. Baltimore Ravens quarterback Joe Flacco is scheduled to make a celebrity plunge ? unless, that is, he has to be in Indianapolis for the Super Bowl a week later.

Then again, whether Flacco goes in the water or not, other plungers may be too focused on their own impending immersion to notice. With typical late-January water temperatures registering in the mid-30s, even experienced plungers have been known to get goosebumps before they even get wet.

?As many times as I?ve done it, I still get nervous,? said Kelley Schniedwind, spokesperson for Special Olympics Maryland and herself a frequent plunger. ?You?re standing on the beach, saying, ?Am I really about to do this???

Afterward, though, she?s always glad she did. ?You look around, people are laughing and yelling, and you think, wow, I just did something crazy, it was fun and I survived. I feel really good.?

Hackers steal Israeli credit card numbers (Reuters)

JERUSALEM (Reuters) ? Computer hackers published details of thousands of active Israeli credit cards after breaking into Israeli websites, the chief executive of Israel's largest card company said Tuesday.

Dov Kotler, CEO of Isracard, a unit of Bank Hapoalim, said in a statement that a file containing 400,000 Israeli credit card numbers had appeared on the Internet but the company found that most were incorrect or invalid.

Israeli media reports said a Saudi-based group had hacked into several websites in Israel to cull the numbers.

Kotler said Isracard had analyzed the information and found that only some 14,000 of the credit card numbers listed by the hackers were valid, including 6,600 issued by his company.

Some of the stolen card numbers were used in Internet purchases but Kotler said Isracard had blocked further transactions and its affected clients would be reimbursed.

He said there were some 7 million active cards in the Israeli economy.

Russell Brand officially filed for divorce from Katy Perry Friday, but as sources tell Us Weekly, trouble has long been brewing for the spouses of 14 months.

Just prior to Christmas, Perry, 27, and Brand, 36, had a "massive fight" over where to go on their holiday vacation.

"She was like, 'F--k you. I'm going to do my own thing.' Russell replied, 'Fine, f--k you too,'" an insider tells the new issue of Us Weekly of Perry, who ended up in Hawaii with pals, and Brand, who spent Christmas catching up with a pal in a pub in chilly London.

Says another source: "They've fought since they met."

Though they denied divorce rumors in November, when Brand told Ellen DeGeneres he was "happily married," the couple were frequently at odds. "Katy doesn't think Russell respects her parents' Christian beliefs or her friends," an insider tells Us.

"I'm married to Katy," Brand told DeGeneres of Perry, whom he wed in October 2010 at a tiger sanctuary in India. "Perpetually, until death do us part was the pledge."

Perry also go into the denial act, slamming seemingly endless reports that she was either pregnant or divorced.

"First I'm pregnant & then I'm divorced. What am I All My Children?!" Perry Tweeted, referring to ABC's now defunct soap. The singer punctuated her post with the hashtags #ericakane #pshhh and #ifihadadollarforeverytime.

Brand finally went through with a divorce filing on December 30, citing irreconcilable differences in papers processed in Los Angeles Superior Court.

"Sadly, Katy and I are ending our marriage," Brand tells Us Weekly in a statement. "I'll always adore her and I know we'll remain friends."

Police detain 60 at Moscow protest (AP)

MOSCOW ? Police detained 60 opposition activists on Saturday to prevent them from protesting on a central Moscow square against the Kremlin's stifling of democratic freedoms.

Some were detained as they approached the square and others were hustled onto police buses as soon as they began chanting against Prime Minister Vladimir Putin. A banner they unfurled said "Death to Kremlin occupiers."

Organizers had not received permission to hold the protest, the latest in a series held at the end of every month with 31 days. The number corresponds with Article 31 of the Russian Constitution, which guarantees freedom of assembly.

Small protests also were held Saturday in other Russian cities. These protests, led by the more radical opposition leaders, were separate from the demonstrations that have drawn tens of thousands to demand free elections and an end to Putin's rule.

Associated Press reporters and photographers saw at least 20 detained. Police said a total of 60 were rounded up. It was unclear whether they would be held overnight.
